Iranian Educators Society For Families adheres to the Code of Ethics regulated by BCACC.
Confidentiality is our number one priority.
Our clinical practice of counselling is based on the BC ASSOCIATION OF CLINICAL COUNSELLORS’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Standards of Clinical Practice and Guidelines for Registered Clinical Counsellors (2009):
Rights For The Dignity of All Persons and Peoples,
Responsible Caring,
Integrity in Relationships,
Responsibility to the Society.
How can a therapist be ethical, human, and competent while encouraging the participation and autonomy of the client? Embracing and respecting human nature as well as ethical principles could be compared to a perfectly balanced dance, as the dancer has to maneuver, twist, and turn in the right moments.
This ideal choreography is also a relative act, depending on the adjustment to sound, light, space, environment, and patterns. Working as therapists we are required to trace that perfect balance, which is not possible without practice, practice, and more practice, while being open-minded and flexible.
Clinical supervision is a must in our profession, while our team of counsellors and therapists continually seek proper and up to date training offered by other professionals.
In our team, we offer training and discussion forums on the importance of best practice.
If you are a clinical counsellor or in the filed of mental health, you could join our professional development seminars.
